Such steps are part of a hybrid war that is carried out in order to disorient Ukraine's defense forces.

On August 9, Natalia Humeniuk, the chairman of the Joint Coordination Press Center of Southern Ukraine, told in an interview with Channel 24. "These are the steps of a hybrid war, they try to reorient the defense forces to those areas that consider them more reliable and more fortified to carry out their operations there," Humeniuk said. According to her, this tactic is not used for the first time.

In particular, something similar in the settlement of Oleshko of Kherson region, when Russian units imitated the exit and then suddenly returned there. Therefore, Ukrainian defenders are ready for such actions of the enemy, and understand his ideas. "We are very well aware of these tricks and on what maneuvers the occupiers resort," Gumeniuk said.

The head of the press center also noted that the occupiers do not achieve the desired results on the battlefield, so they try to divert the attention of the Ukrainian forces and involve them in a counter -banking struggle. This is due to the strengthening of shelling of Kherson and other settlements in this direction.

"This is also associated with the strengthening of shelling of the Pochaykivsky direction to switch our counter -battery struggle, strengthening of shelling directly Kherson and other settlements, where our enemies try to mark the need for the presence of defense forces," Gumeniuk explained.
