US Army received the first CH-47F Chinook helicopters in Block II version: that improved in the car

Vice president Giser Macbrayan said that CH-47F Block II provides improvement of opportunities, enabling the US Army to "lift more, fly on and serve their aircraft better than ever before. " According to her, this modernization program enables Chinook to play a key role in many domain operations in the future. First of all, the helicopter has improved the load capacity and flight range: as a result of modernization, the machine can raise 4,000 pounds (1814 kg) more.

Also, the new variant has an extended radius-the helicopter can fly further with almost any amount. The CH-47F BLOCK II helicopter has received an advanced transmission that provides more efficient power transmission. The reinforced glider increases the strength and durability of the structure. And the improved fuel system increases efficiency and reduces the frequency of maintenance.
