Eyewitnesses from Volodymyr reported around 04:00 that there were explosions in the city and air defense forces were working. Locals also report bright flashes in the sky. OSINT channels identified from network footage that in Volodymyr, drones had previously attacked the 750 kV Volodymyrska substation. Local Telegram channels shared footage from the scene of the attack. Officially, local authorities did not comment on the drone attack at the time of publication.
According to data from open sources, the Volodymyrivska substation was built in 1955 and is considered a key energy facility in the Volodymyrivska region of the Russian Federation. The substation supplies the power of Volga HPP, Kalinin NPP and Kostroma HPP to the power systems of Volodymyr, Ivanovo and partially Moscow regions. There were also explosions that night in the Russian city of Yaroslavl. At least 7 explosions were heard there, locals complained about the sound of engines in the sky.
According to ASTRA Telegram channel, the explosions in Yaroslavl were heard near the local Slavneft-YANOS refinery. Footage from the scene of the events was shown on the network. At the time of publication, there was no official information about the consequences of the shelling and no confirmation of the drone attack.
