According to the Ukrainian underground, the occupying administration has already started clearing the river and preparation for engineering. Such actions can lead to a shortage of drinking water in Melitopol. The occupation administration in the temporarily occupied territory (Tot) of the Zaporozhye region plans to use the waters of the Milk River to fill the irrigation channels, according to the National Resistance Center (CNS).

Due to the grounds of the North Crimean Canal as a result of the blast of the Russian Dams of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station in the south of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions and in the Crimea, the issue of water supply and irrigation of agricultural lands. According to the Ukrainian underground, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Andriy Razin was illegally visited by the Zaporizhzhya region.

He met with the so -called "Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers - Minister of Agriculture and Food Policy" Svetlana Shevchenko. "In particular, the occupation administration suggested using the waters of the Milk River, which is the largest on the Tot of the Zaporozhye region, and to transfer its runoff into irrigation channels. The occupation administration has already started clearing the river and preparation for engineering work," the CNS said.

The resistance center believes that such a solution can lead to an increase in water salinity in the Azov Sea, as well as a shortage of drinking water in Melitopol. Also, such actions of the enemy create the preconditions for another environmental disaster in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya region.
