New Threat to Front: Russians use mysterious battle drones against the Armed Forces (Photo)

The drone was handed over to the invaders in the fall, but its first samples of the Armed Forces were found only now. The Russians claim that UAVs are able to fly 20 km and arrange a remote mine. On March 24, an unknown Russian drone was found in the Kupyansk direction of the Russian-Ukrainian Front, and another one was seen in a few days in another direction.

The Ukrainian military and radio communication expert Sergey Beskrestnov with the flash call sign was reported and provided by a photo of the drone in his Telegram channel. Judging by the photo, the drone is quite large and has an unusual design. Two pairs of wings are noticeable, smaller is equipped with two screws, directed to the inner space between pairs of wings.

On October 16, 2023, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, published in his Telegram-channel a message about the transfer of drones to Russian occupation troops in Ukraine. Added photos contain images of a drone similar to the Ukrainian military. According to the governor, the drone is the development of the OOO "Regional-Promotion Company" (RPC) from the city of gentle Novgorod in Russia.

Unnamed volunteers and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation participated in its creation. The drone, called the FPV-aid, is allegedly capable of carrying out remote mining and affecting targets within 20 km. "Today, the first FPV-ouzh of Nizhny Novgorod's development went to the zone," the message reads. The name of the UAV, its characteristics and features of application are currently unknown.

It is also interesting that from the moment of transfer to the first known applications has passed almost half a year. According to the Russian edition "Kommersant" with reference to the agency "Interfax", the company OOO "Regional-correspondence company" was registered in Nizhny Novgorod in 2015. The main activity is the production of parts and accessories for vehicles. The owner and CEO of the company is entrepreneur Andriy Sokolov.
