The routes are constantly changing: the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation changed the tactics

According to the Ukrainian general, the enemy applies drones at night at extremely small altitudes, taking into account the terrain. This complicates their detection and destruction with mobile groups. Russian invaders have changed the tactics for the use of percussion drones in attacks in Ukraine. Recently, the enemy has been changing the routes of drones, and also applies them at night, taking into account the terrain.

This was told on August 14 by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Sergey Naev in an interview with RBC. "Recently, the tactics of using shock drones like ShahED-131/136 have changed significantly. The enemy continues to apply them mainly at night at extremely small altitudes. However, the construction of routes is constantly changing. The enemy is trying to use drones taking into account the terrain," the general said.

According to him, the difficulty in counteracting the UAV is to identify the routes of their flights after which the mobile groups could respond and get to the interception of drones. In addition, it is difficult to determine the direction of the flight at night, when to detect the drone, it is possible to determine mostly it by the sound of the engine.

"In the absence of visual contact, destroy the air target without knowing its exact position in the airspace, it is a difficult task, but it should be noted that we are trying to cope with him," Nayev stressed. According to him, in such conditions the best are complexes that independently detect air goals with the help of radar stations.

Nayev also emphasized the sufficient efficiency of the Echelorated air defense system, which contains mobile firing groups with portable anti-aircraft missile complexes (MSRCs) and small arms and SAMs of different range-near action, small and medium. Recall that on the night of August 14, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation released eight winged missiles and 15 SHahd drones.
