"We can't wait": Zelensky explained why the Armed Forces do not start a large -scale counterfeit

In the east of Ukraine, according to the President, there is a "bad" situation, and the command cannot send military personnel without the necessary weapons. Ukraine lacks equipment and ammunition for a large counter -offensive. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with the Japanese newspaper The Yomiuri Shimbun on January 23, while traveling from Kherson to Kiev.

According to the Head of State, now the situation in eastern Ukraine is "bad" for the Armed Forces due to a shortage of weapons. Currently, Russian troops shoot three times more ammunition daily than Ukrainian, and this has a significant impact on the safety of soldiers when it comes to the offensive. "We are waiting for ammunition supply from our partners. We can't start. We can't send them yet," Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented.

In addition to ammunition, the President said, Ukraine also needs military equipment. The US and the countries of Europe have agreed to provide the Ukrainian army with American M1 Abrams and German Leopard 2, but are in no hurry to transfer fighters that could significantly increase the Armed Forces. "If you have political will, you can find a way to help us. We are in a state of war and cannot wait," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

On March 23, Volodymyr Zelensky urged Europe to pass long -range missiles and planes to Ukraine. According to the President, delays in supply lead to the fact that the war with Russia is delayed. The Pentagon confirmed the supply of Ukraine to Ukraine from available inventories. According to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the country will not have time to make enough new equipment for timely assistance to Ukrainians, but can quickly process machines for export.
