Do the miners enroll in the army to the length of service: the PFU explained

Some Ukrainians who have called for military service may count on enrollment in the length of service for a pension on preferential terms. However, you need to meet several parameters. Ukrainians, if they worked on work with particularly harmful and difficult working conditions, can issue a pension by age on preferential terms.

At the same time, if a citizen worked as a miner but was mobilized to the army during a special period, it will be credited to miners' experience and a person will receive the right to a preferential pension. According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), the period of military service should not exceed the duration of preferential work.

Thus, the state structure stated that the period of work at the mine during the full working day in particularly harmful or difficult conditions is confirmed by the certificate of the preferential nature of the work. This document can be obtained at the enterprise. Also, preferential length of service can be confirmed in the Register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory Social Insurance.

This option is used if the enterprise continues to operate in a temporarily occupied territory or territory where hostilities are conducted. According to the PFU, citizens with special status can be exercised by this right. For example, it should be noted that Ukraine systematically increases requirements for minimum insurance experience to obtain a pension at the age of 60. For example, in 2023, citizens will need 30 years of insurance experience to receive a pension in a timely manner.
