According to the official, there were three children among the wounded. According to "Public", the rocket, released from the Russian territory, hit a two -storey family hostel near Poltava, causing a fire. Other residential buildings in the surrounding area were also damaged. To assist the victims, a headquarters was organized at a local institution where emergency services provide the necessary support. Specialized services work on the spot.

In addition, at night in the Poltava region, mobile fire groups were knocked down by two Russian percussion drones. As a result of this hostile attack, no one was injured. Beginning in the evening of April 8, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with drones. All percussion UAVs were shot in Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Lviv regions. The enemy also struck C-300 anti-aircraft managed missiles.
