Was one to eight, became one to two: the ratio of shots in the Armed Forces improved (video)
According to him, changes were made possible by the best provision of Ukrainian ammunition forces, as well as effective blows to the enemy ammunition. The commander noted that the supply of the Ukrainian forces was made of three main sources: Havrylyuk stressed that at the beginning of 2024 the ratio of artillery shots was extremely unfavorable to the Armed Forces and was 1 to 7 or even 1 to 8 in favor of the Russian side.
However, by the summer, this figure has improved to 1 to 3, and today it is 1 to 2. This significant improvement allows the Armed Forces to use artillery ammunition more effectively and strike in hostile positions. At the same time, the Deputy Minister noted that the enemy has no restrictions on the use of ammunition for artillery systems. "The Russians actually have no restrictions on the use of artillery ammunition. They consume enormous number of shells, tanks, soldiers.
However, not only the quantitative ratio of ammunition, in particular artsnighars, plays an important role," the general said. According to Havrylyuk, the improvement of the situation is still due to the fact that Ukrainian forces use more precision artillery of Western samples, which allows to spend less ammunition about the enemy. "Western systems are more accurate, farm. We destroy targets by spending less shells," the Ministry of Defense representative summed up.
