Unknown drones attacked the main air base of the Russian Federation in the Middle East: what is known (video)
The attack may probably be Islamist groups related to the country's new government. This was reported by Roszma in Telegram channels. "The drones attacked the Russian airbase Khmeimim, located in the northwest of Syria. The air defense systems work," the message reads. In the video that is distributed, you can see the active operation of the air defense system and the fall of fragments as a result of beating.
Another Russian Telegram-channel has reported who could probably stand on a "terrorist attack" against Russia's military object in Syria. "On the Russian air base, Khmeimim has an attack by HTSH terrorists (Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham is forbidden in the Russian Federation)," Rosmi write. There is currently no official information about the hits. It is not reported that the drones were attacked by the Russian air base. Khmeimim Air Base was established in 2015.
This was preceded by the events of August 26, 2015 in Damascus, when Russia and Syria signed an agreement that provides for the conditions of use of the Russian CCS of this object for free and without any time restrictions. Since then, this air base has been a key stronghold of Russia and the center of its air operations in the Middle East. However, the danger of approaching insurgents, who may well regard the object as the purpose of their attacks, soon has arrived over the air base.
