The new drone can carry cargo weighing up to 400 kilograms, change the area and evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. Cherkasy produces caterpillar robotic robotic platforms intended for remote mining, evacuation of wounded and logistics missions. The new development was told by the head of production Vasyl Savisko, engineer Alexei Bulda, master-electrician Sergey Boyko and serviceman Vyacheslav with the call sign "FES" in an interview with the publication "Public".

Alexei Buldei noted that his team started collecting land drones a few months ago. In the presence of all parts for the manufacture of one device, it takes less than a week. The basic drawings for assembly were shared by partners, and the details for additional functionality have already been developed by Cherkasy engineers. The drone weighs up to 200 kilograms and can carry the same amount of load. The trailer enables him to carry another 200 kilograms.

Its range is up to 2 kilometers, the maximum speed is 10 kilometers per hour, the recommended speed is 7 kilometers per hour. The battery charge takes up to 8 hours, but at maximum load - up to 4 hours. The "eye" of the drone can be a camera or FPV-Dron. Drones are brought to military ammunition or other cargoes, as well as evacuating the wounded - for this purpose the trailer is attached to the platform, the boards are rejected and the stretchers are installed.

In addition, engineers have developed a module that allows remotely changing the territory. Sergey Boyko showed testing the robot miner in the field, noting that the robot is controlled by the remote, like UAV. It is easy to learn management, but you need to practice at least a few days for two to three hours. The first tester of the pilot model was the serviceman Vyacheslav with the call sign "FES", which is on the front since 2014.

He noted that in two months of operation he has never charged the battery, and the drone himself works perfectly. "It has two functions: to provide personnel with a ammunition, a provision, where it is impossible to go on foot, and to mining the territory. He performs his duties perfectly," - said the military. Vyacheslav is the company commander and notes that such drones compensate for the lack of personnel.

The military is now looking for financial support to order two more sets, including Bagi, trailer and drone on caterpillars, which can be carried even more. According to the head of production Vasyl Savsk, such a device will cost from $ 4,500 to $ 6000. He stressed that the price tag calculates the wages, rent, taxes and components. According to him, there is a great demand for land drones, and engineers already have many new ideas, so the project requires funding.
