New sanctions against 225 ship captains of the Russian shadow fleet and subjects serving the Russian military industry: the President put into effect the decision of the National Security Council
Monitoring of the situation in the Black, Red, and Baltic Seas showed that these captains controlled the vessels of the Russian shadow fleet and transported oil to circumvent the sanctions of the EU, G7, and other states. Most of these tankers - 188 - are already under the sanctions of the European Union, USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. "We continue to convince our partners of the importance of individual sanctions against tanker captains.
Systemic work on a sanctioned tanker is sufficient grounds for consequences. We have to discourage the desire to work with Russian oil, because it is a direct financing of the war," stressed Vladyslav Vlasyuk, adviser to the President's representative on sanctions policy. The second package of sanctions included 46 Russian citizens, two Iranian citizens and 44 Russian companies serving the Russian military-industrial complex.
Among them are those that supply, develop, manufacture and repair equipment, means of radio-electronic warfare and spare parts for the needs of the Russian military industry. Their products are used in the production of ballistic and cruise missiles, attack and reconnaissance drones, small arms and ammunition. Two Iranian citizens are involved in the supply of aviation spare parts and components to circumvent sanctions.
