"West-2025": The Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation unfolded warships and submarines with "caliber" and "Onyx" (video)
Within the scale of the Western 2025 exercises, the Command of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation launched track groups and ship search and strike groups of the Kolsk Fleet, reports on September 12, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The Barents Sea launched a ship striking group as part of a rocket cruiser and a frigate of rocket cruisers and submarines of different types of northern fleet.
And in the distant marine zone (in the northern regions of the Arctic Ocean), the Arctic Expeditional Grouping of troops launched. "In the framework of the Waval 2025 training, elements of protection of coastal objects and garrisons of the Northern Fleet, the management of heterogeneous groups of forces in areas of responsibility, as well as the comprehensive use of high-precision weapons, promising and modern weapons and military equipment samples,"-said.
Marshal Ustinov (055) is a rocket cruiser of the Glory class, now operated by the Navy of Russia. The ship has been in an active service for 39 years. From July 2011 to December 2016, the cruiser was overhaul and modernization. Weapons: Admiral Golovko - a multi -purpose frigate of the far sea area of the project 22350. The frigate was lowered on water in May 2020, running tests started in November 2022. The ship was put into effect on December 25, 2023.
Weapons: submarine of the project 885m "Yasen-M". Submarine is an advanced version of multi -purpose atomic submarines of the area 885 "Ash". These modern submarines of the 4th generation are part of the Northern and Pacific Fleets of Russia and are intended for the destruction of surface ships, underwater purposes and land objects of the enemy. 885m is completed with equipment and software of Russian manufacturers and can carry hypersonic winged rockets 3m22 "Zircon".
The main shock weapons of submarines are the Caliber-PL missiles (range up to 2 500 km), Onyx (range about 600 km) and "Zircon" (hypersonic rocket with a range of about 1 000 km). The acoustic inadvertent "Yaseni-M" is considered one of the highest among Russian submarines, and integrated Reb and kerosene make them a dangerous opponent for NATO ships in the Arctic and North Atlantic.
We will remind, in March Russia concentrated the underwater forces on the secret base of the Western Lica, located on the Kola Peninsula near the border with Norway. Five atomic submarines (APCH) were recorded: three projects 949a (m) "Anti", one project 885 "Ash" and one improved "Ash-M". Western experts believe that the region becomes a landfill for the underwater fleet of the Russian Federation.
