"Farning Package": Luxembourg decided to give Ukraine money for weapons against Russia

To spread: Luxembourg has decided to allocate money as part of Purl initiative, for which European states pay for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. Thus, the number of countries that will participate in the initiative has increased to nine, Euractiv reports. "We will finance the package together with other countries that we still have to determine the package of already available weapons, largely American, which we will provide Ukraine," said Luxembourg Prime Minister Luke Frieden.

He explained that Luxembourg will hardly finance the entire $ 500 million package on their own, and therefore seeks partners. Frieden also did not specify what contribution was ready to make Luxembourg. At the same time, the unnamed NATO official told reporters that in September a new wave of promises from NATO European countries to buy US military equipment for Ukraine is expected to buy Purl.
