Later, the rescuers contacted the guide and reported that at an altitude of 4000 meters, five climbers broke down, two more were injured - among them a guide that broke his leg. It was later revealed that nine people were killed.

In Novosibirsk detained the head of the travel agency, who organized climbing a volcano, he is accused of incompetence. Due to the strong wind, it is impossible to save those who survived on the helicopter. Therefore, rescuers have to climb the route to them. Tourists cannot go down from a height of 4100 meters, as they are weakened by lack of oxygen. One of the victims has a broken leg.

The Mi-8 Ministry of Emergencies helicopter with rescuers on board only on September 5 managed to land on the slope of the volcano. He sat at 1663 meters. It was already the fourth attempt to reach the slopes of the volcano. "They were not allowed to land at greater altitude, as well as ashes, which rises from the slopes of the volcano," the message reads.
