Vardanian is a new instrument of Russia's hybrid war against EU

On June 17, the press conference of deputies of 3 countries (Ukraine, Germany, Denmark) on the topic: "New Hybrid War and Kremlin Propaganda Propaganda" was held at the Press Club Brussels Europe.

The press conference was against the backdrop of regular publications in the media on the intensification of Russian efforts in attempts to influence the elections of the European Parliament, reports of Russian propaganda campaigns, espionage and bribery of parliamentarians in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands and Hungary.

According to the press and international institutions of Moscow, campaigns for misinformation, destabilization and other types of destructive influence in the Baltic countries, in the Balkans, as well as in the territories between the Russian Federation and Europe - in Armenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Georgia, Moldova and Serbia.

Particular attention of the deputies of Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania was attracted by the Case Ruben Vardanian-the Armenian-Russian figure and "Putin's Man", which, according to Russian media, was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in the spring.

Parliamentarians have stated that this is an example and precedent of new technologies for the hybrid war against Ukraine and the Western world in general, by whitening the reputation of the Kremlin's settings with the help of dear international institutions. Vardanian is known for the fact that through his company "Three Dialogue" secretly transferred money to close friends of Putin. In 2006-2013, more than $ 4.

6 billion (OCCRP investigation data) took place on the accounts of Vardanian's offshore networks. In 2020, Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, recently killed in Russian prison, accused Vardanian of a bribery of about $ 50 million. Varddanana was introduced to the projects of sanctions lists or directly into the lists of European Parliament, US Congress, Ukraine . . . in 2023.

The security of Ukraine has introduced it to the "Peacemaker" base with the following wording: "The manual of Russian-fascist invaders and terrorists. The accomplice of crimes of the Russian authorities against Ukraine and its citizens . . . is subject to immediate detention and transfer to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine or NATO countries. " The SBU also accused Vardanian of financing Russian aggression in the post -Soviet territories.

According to The Washington Times, in addition to Putin, Vardanian is also connected with the Iranian criminal regime, which since the beginning of the war supplies the Russian Federation weapons: "His connections with Iran can be traced through the Russian Gorchakov Foundation, which organizes measures in different countries, including Armenia , with the participation of the speakers approved by the government from Tehran.

" According to the parliamentarians, the nomination of such a person for candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize is unacceptable. In addition, it contradicts the Public Policy of the Nobel Committee, which supports Ukraine and did not invite Ukraine in 2022-2023 to the ceremony of the award of representatives of the Russian Federation, Iran and Belarus.

Also, according to the speakers of the press conference, the very fact that the Russians will be able to represent Vardanian as a "candidate" for the Nobel Peace Prize, causes reputational damage to the entire corps of Western institutions. Under the halo of "peacekeepers" and "Nobel laureate" Moscow in the future will be able to use Vandian in his intrigues in the South Caucasus in the future.

For example, at the beginning of last year, the Kremlin regarded Vardanian as a real candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia-in the event of Nicholas Pashinyan's overthrow, which has been more and more actively reoriented to the West. " During April-May this year, 123 deputies from 4 countries signed collective letters and appealed to the Nobel Committee to reject Vardanian's candidacy in 2024 and any subsequent years.

Among them are 18 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 71 deputy of the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic, 21 deputies of the Diet of Latvia and 12 parliamentarians of the House of Romania Deputies, as well as the deputy of the European Parliament from Romania Christian Terhes. The Nobel Committee itself has not yet commented on the situation. According to the rules of the Nobel Committee, the list of candidates is not announced or commented.

Press conference participants believe that this is why the Kremlin's mouthpieces such as Sputnik and RBC can publish everything they want, without fear of the consequences and whitening with their numerous "Vardanians" their tarnished names. Yuri Kamelchuk, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada said: ". . . we believe that the Nobel Committee should be statement that any speculation about the nominees for the premium, any of the Russian media offs is consciously fake.
