The Russian Federation showed a BDC of 11711 Kayman series with a changed architecture of the superstructure
This model is characterized by a changed architecture of the superstructure, which is a significant improvement in comparison with the previous version. This was reported by the European Defense Review. The VDK model of the 11711 second series was first presented at the IMDS exhibition in July 2019. Since then, important changes have been made to the structure. In particular, the design of the tower-halves has changed, where there are elements of electronic weapons (ROO) of the ship.
It is noted that the tower has become higher and allows to place more reo elements, which improves the capabilities of a ship in radio intelligence and communication. The architecture of the superstructure was also updated. The changes touched the placement of rescue rafts and boats, as well as places for the installation of the AK-630M-2 anti-aircraft artillery complex "Duet" in the nasal of the ship.
The height of the structure is increased, which allows the guns to fight more effectively with both air purposes and non -extinguished surfaces. Despite the changes in the structure, the main weapons of the VDC of the 11711 second series remained the same. The ship is still equipped with one artillery installation of AK-630m-2 "duet" and two artillery installations of AK-630m of 30 mm caliber, located in the feed part of the superstructure.
In addition, the ship is armed with large -caliber machine guns on cabinets that provide additional protection against nearby threats. The full displacement of the project is 11711 the second series is 8000 tons, the length is about 150 meters, the width of the waterline - about 19. 5 meters, the precipitate - about 4. 5 meters. The maximum speed is 18 knots. The crew - about 120 people.
