A truce that was not: in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the beginning of hostilities

The corresponding statement was published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Monday morning on April 21. From 6:00 pm on April 19 to 00:00, both Ukrainian and Russian troops had to maintain the ceasefire while remaining in their positions.

With the end of the armistice, the Armed Forces of Russia continued to conduct a "special military operation". The report of Russia also states that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly violated the silence regime, carrying out more than 4,900 attacks with the use of artillery and drones. It is also noted that shelling of the border territories of the Russian Federation, in particular Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions, as well as temporarily occupied Crimea, was recorded.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on Russia's official statement about the end of the truce. However, earlier, representatives of the authorities were repeatedly talked about violations of the "silence regime" on Easter days. In particular, on the morning of April 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, on the basis of a report by the commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces, Alexander Sirsky noted that the enemy's armed forces had broken the promises of silence 2935 times.

In addition, the enemy fired at Ukraine with rockets and UAVs, the consequences of a hostile attack felt several regions of Ukraine. According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine offered the Russian Federation a refusal to strike for 30 days with a continuation option. He then noted that the Kremlin's fancy would mean that it is Russia who wants to continue the war.
