The saving of wildlife, Yermak called one of the reasons why the invaders should be expelled from the Ukrainian land. "Another important reason why the Ukrainian lands need to be released as soon as possible," he said.

In Telegram, the Russians stated that the animals were destroyed by the occupiers "at the forefront of defense", which is far from the reserve.
