War in Ukraine: drones change the situation at the front like tanks in the First World War - WP
The authors of the article point out that drones have a negative impact on the movement of assault groups. Due to the growth on the front, the use of small drones "Gray Zone" turned into a "death zone". In a WP comment, the commander of the Code of Code 9. 2 of a separate assault brigade named after Ivan Sirko's separate assault brigade, Alexander Nashanko, explained that the fighters who are not afraid to move under the "views" of the enemy drones at night, "die immediately.
" At the same time, the military claims that the course of the war has changed precisely due to relatively inexpensive drones. Initially, Ukraine had some advantage thanks to them, but later in Russia also began to produce their drones in large numbers. Brinc Drones headquarters Andrew Cota states that everything that is happening on the front can be called "Blitzkrig of the Unmanned War".
He is convinced that the drones in Ukraine are as changing the war as the tanks once during the First World War. The Ukrainian military says that about a hundred drones are on the battlefield, but it is difficult to say to whom they belong. At the same time, drones assist Ukraine with the acute shortage of ammunition. The Armed Forces constantly emphasize the urgent need for artillery shells, otherwise there is a risk of losing in the war, the authors of the WP material say.
On March 12, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, reported that mass production of land drones is launched in Ukraine. At the same time, the official noted that all the necessary tests have undergone platforms "Kamikadze" and "Tureli". Thanks to this weapon, you can destroy the positions and equipment of the Russians, change, exchange, evacuate the wounded and bring ammunition.
The purpose of creating such drones, Fedorov emphasized, is to minimize a person's participation in the battlefield, which will allow the life and health of the Ukrainian military. At the same time, on March 20, Fedorov said that Ukraine could produce up to 2 million drones during the year, but this requires funding from US and European partners.
On April 10, Focus wrote that the Ukrainian Charitable Fund "B-52" began to create shock drones, the use of which had already caused significant damage to objects in Russia. In addition, on April 11 it became known that in Ukraine began to produce drones-Kamikadze, which is already called "Ukrolanta". Thanks to them you can hit the targets at a distance of 50 kilometers. This weapon has already been used to defeat the means of air defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
