Drones attacked the city of Orel in Russia: eyewitnesses report an "arrival" at the local thermal power plant (photo, video)
Locals claim that they heard the first loud sounds even before the alarm was announced. According to SHOT media, at least 3 to 7 explosions rang out in the northern part of the city. Later, eyewitnesses and Russian monitoring channels reported that an energy infrastructure object was attacked in Oryol. Monitoring channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ noted that drones previously hit the Oryol thermal power plant.
It is an energy infrastructure facility in the region that produces electricity and thermal energy for the city of Orel and the surrounding areas. The network also showed footage of the attack on the Orlov thermal power station that night. Later, OSINT analysts specified that in Oryla, the 110 kV Oryol thermal power plant's switchgear (VRP) and fuel oil storage of the thermal power plant were previously attacked.
This is particularly evidenced by the location of the lesion and data from satellite images. There was no official information about the attack on the Oryol thermal power plant and its consequences at the time of publication. Russian publications write that operational services are working on the spot. We will remind, on October 30, there were explosions at the Luhansk TPP, after which a partial blackout occurred in the region.
