"We continue the dialogue": Kuleba announced the first since the war meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister

According to the Ukrainian diplomat, Kiev has changed its legislation on the requirements of Budapest, and this fact should be respected. Negotiations will take place on Monday. For the first time since the beginning of a full -scale war, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will meet with the Hungarian colleague Peter Siarto for the first time since the beginning of a full -scale war. He stated this before the EU Council meeting on December 11.

According to him, the meeting should take place on Monday. For the first time in the Russian invasion, two diplomats will personally meet and discuss the issues that have been accumulated. This is a significant event and means that Kiev continues to talk to Budapest, said the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. It is also important that this happens on the eve of the EU leaders summit. "We continue the dialogue and speak with Hungary.

And as I said, Ukraine has changed its legislation on education and use of national minorities as Hungary wanted. This fact should be respected," Dmytro Kuleba said. Separately, the Ukrainian diplomat added that in the decision of the European Commission there were clear conditions for which Ukraine should amend the legislation for compliance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission. Kiev took into account all the key recommendations and fulfilled them.

Peter Siarto himself did not comment on the future meeting in any way, but on his page on the social network Facebook stated that Ukraine would mostly be the topic of the EU Debate Council. "A large number of European politicians want to make important decisions that are absolutely not prepared and have no strategic consensus on the future of Europe. We will continue to make decisions in European and national interests and will not undergo any pressure," the statement reads.
