Planned shutdowns will be. The Russians have not destroyed Ukraine's power system but the deficit increases
On Wednesday, August 23, the total volume from Poland and Romania amounted to 1800 MWh, on Monday - 2000 MW · h, and an epic record on Tuesday - 3900 MW · h. It is estimated that the average pricesta in Ukraine is 20% lower than the average price in Slovakia. And by 36% the average price in the Ukrainian market was on August 23, lower than the average in Slovakia. The cost of emergency aid is 30% to 2 times more expensive. This means that the level of price caps is not enough to cover demand.
Without resolving this issue, Ukraine, unfortunately, will face an extremely unpleasant choice - to switch to regular schedules of planned shutdowns all over the country or to import electricity at the highest of all possible options for emergency care (not the fact that even this option will be available). Personally, I am against raising prices, as it will hit the competitiveness of our business even more.
However, it is better to speak the truth as it is than to hide your head in the sand, like an ostrich. It may be necessary to look for the potential, as not to do this, through the analysis of the costs of NAEC "Energoatom", and to investigate probable abuses in the market, but without changing the price keps I still do not understand how this situation can be regulated. If someone knows, then don't be silent - give the suggestions, but reasoned.
As we can see, the capacity shortage is the main driver of the price of electricity in wartime. Although the racists could not, as they did not try, destroy our power system, but destroyed or seriously damaged a lot of infrastructure objects of high -voltage transmissions and generation. This, for its part, leads to a shortage of electricity in the market, and therefore the rise in prices.
