In the European Union, they decided to expand the list of goods that can be brought to European countries after arriving from Russia. The Council of the European Union has approved a number of exceptions to restrictions on the import of personal use for persons who enter the block from Russia. This is stated in the EU Council's statement. According to the text, personal use items got exceptions. For example, personal hygiene products, or clothing worn by travelers or contained in their luggage.

Also in the list were cars with diplomatic license plates to enter the EU territory. Moreover, to facilitate entry into the Union of EU citizens living in Russia, Member States can now allow such persons on their cars, provided that they are not sold and used exclusively for personal purpose. The Member States of the European Union intend to agree to the four-year continuation of the grace period to buy some types of steel in the Russian Federation before a complete ban on import.

Agency journalists have studied the documents and learned that this period could be extended until October 2028. However, the final decision has not yet been made. It is noted that thanks to the preferential period, one of the largest Russian manufacturers of PJSC "Novolypetsky Metallurgical Plant" will be able to ship steel slaves for processing at a joint venture with an investment unit of Vallonia in Belgium, which has factories throughout Europe.
