Delivery of weapons to Ukraine: in the United States was warned about cyber deversion from the Russian Federation

A number of US services have reported that Russian cyberattacks include data destruction, exf holy information and critical infrastructure scanning. Several US government agencies and allies, including the National Security Agency (NSA), the FBI and international partners, have issued a joint warning about the activities of the Russian cybergroup related to the Main Intelligence Management (GRU).

This group, known as the 161st Center for Specialists Training (Section 29155), is holding a campaign of cybersebing and sabotage against NATO countries, including the US, to disrupt Ukraine's assistance efforts. About it reports Breaking Defense. The main threat mentioned in the warning is the use of harmful softgate software, with the help of which Ukrainian systems are attacked. These cyberattacks include data destruction, exfiltration of information and scanning critical infrastructure.

Since the beginning of 2022, the main purpose of the group is to prevent the supply of military assistance and other operations related to Ukraine's support. The Italian defense company Leonardo also reported a significant increase in cyberattacks. The representative of Lorenzo Mariani noted that although there is no direct threat to physical destruction, the risks of cyberattacks remain extremely high.

According to him, the company faces hundreds of attempts every day, some of which pose a serious danger. In order to reduce the risks, NATO enterprises are advised to implement updated cybersecurity measures. These include: regular updating of systems, elimination of vulnerabilities, segmentation of networks to prevent the spread of harmful programs and the use of multifactorial authentication resistant to phishing attacks.
