According to the Ombudsman, if the Ukrainian authorities return to one child exported daily, the process will take more than 50 years. At this point, 19 540 Ukrainian children have been officially confirmed by Russia. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets during the International Conference on Human Rights "Freedom or Fear".

In addition, according to the politician, the Russian Federation continues to deport "more and more groups" children from the territory of Ukraine every day. "There are currently more than 19 540 officially confirmed deported Ukrainian children. If we return one child every day, we need 55 years," he said.

According to the Ombudsman, the Ukrainian authorities, despite a small number of tools that could help with the return of stolen children, have many initiatives and are constantly looking for new ones.
