Aviation opportunities of the Russian Federation do not help Russians on the front: in British intelligence named the reason

According to analysts, throughout the summer, the combat aircraft of the invaders made 100 departures a day, but because of the threat from the Ukrainian air defense they could not complete the tasks. The Russian Federation Air Force continues to use a tremendous amount of resources in order to maintain land operations in Ukraine, but they are unable to achieve a decisive operational effect. This is stated in the Intelligence of the UK Ministry of Defense of August 7.

Analysts noted that throughout the summer, Russian tactical combat aircraft averaged more than 100 departures a day, but most often these departures were limited to flights over the Ukrainian territory temporarily under Russian control. This is due to the threat created by the Ukrainian air defense system for them. In the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation they wanted to solve this problem with the help of basic bombs of free fall.

The aircraft has the opportunity to dump these bombs many kilometers from the goals, but this requires stable accuracy. "At the beginning of Ukraine's counter -offensive in the south of June 2023, Russian shock helicopters have proven effective. However, in recent weeks, Russia seemed to be less capable of using tactical aviation in the south," - summed up in the British intelligence report.
