Not just certain living conditions, not just a concept for living in Europe or in individual regions, but life. The Russian war against Ukraine is just a harbinger of what can expect any state on our continent or in other parts of the world that this aggressor may reach. And I am grateful to anyone who understands the importance of Russian aggression and helps us - us as ourselves.
So, analyzing the elements of the Russian war against our country and the specific steps of the aggressor, we can conclude what forms and methods of protection we need for safety. The first is unity. This is the foundation. This is something that should always be formally but also in essence. Not only at summits, but also in business. Not only with whom they used to cooperate with, but with all whose values are common and whose lifestyle is freedom. Russia is afraid of our unity.
So she does a lot to break her. But we only intensify our unity. So, Russia does not conquer us. Neither Ukraine, nor Montenegro, nor any other state of the free world. Where real unity is achieved, there will be peace. How he will be with us. The second is democracy. This is our character. We see that the current Russian leaders have an obsessive desire to break the principle of democratic change of power in all countries for which invading ambitions.
They do not recognize the results of elections and popular movements when they lose their influence. And they try to make a coup or to corrupt the political process when they choose for themselves a puppet that will represent their interests. We have a harsh to counteract. All European countries must demonstrate any Russian influence networks. In order not to spread misinformation, corruption and criminal policy. For the Balkans, this is important no less than for our part of Europe.
The third is independence. We need to recognize at all levels in Europe and the world are obvious: Russia threatens not everyone but everyone. Therefore, everyone should achieve complete independence on Russia so that it can not turn dependence on it into shackles: economic dependencies, energy, political-any. The fourth is a weapon. It sounds a little unusual in Europe, but now we see what war Russia can arrange from nothing. Russia can block the sea for the country he wants to capture.
It can burn cities and villages. Can arrange rocket terror. Take a look at what intensity of war we are now for our protection. Look, and you will also be able to estimate the volume of weapons that may be needed to protect in such a war if Russia transforms into the battlefield the territory of another country. As it may be difficult, but we have to provide for Ukraine now so that we can regain peace to all our citizens, and for Europe after this war such a volume of weapons, such a power .
And the fifth point is responsibility. For many years, the head of Russia and his environment felt full impunity. They destroyed democracy in their country. And they began to destroy everything around Russia. They are used to stealing what they like and buy those who had to protect the national interests of a state. They launched a war against Ukraine in 2014, because they felt that they would be nothing for it. It showed them the war against Georgia.
They made a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, because they do not believe that the world will be able to hold them accountable not only for the crime of aggression against a sovereign state, but also for any crime that can only be imagined. Therefore, to bring them to justice is to guarantee long -term peace after this war. The inevitability of punishment is one of the key principles of criminal justice. And we need to apply this principle to the Russian leadership as they deserve it.
Ladies and Gentlemen! Dear friends! We need to strengthen our unions and cooperation. We need to get rid of all types of dependence on Russia. We have to guarantee sufficient amount and efficiency of weapons for full protection in the sky, on earth, at sea and in cyberspace-in this war, which Russia already leads against Ukraine, and in any new war, if Russia wants to spread fighting now or to repeat aggression in the future.
By the way, all this is taken into account in our proposals for updating the architectural of Ukraine and Europe, which we presented. And I ask you all to get acquainted with the Kyiv Security Compact, which can be a fundamental prerequisite for peace in East of Europe. And finally, punishment for aggression. Sanctions against Russia are necessarily. They should not just act, but regularly intensify so that the aggressor state does not have time to adapt.
