Krab and BMP mix: Poland buys 700 heavy BMPTs for its own army (photo)

Defense Minister Mariusz Blaschak signed three contracts for the purchase of BMPTs, APS and LPR reconnaissance machines. On August 14, the National Defense Minister Mariusz Blaschak approved a framework agreement on the purchase of new heavy infantry fighting vehicles for the needs of the army. About it reports Polska agencja prasowa. In the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Blaschak signed three contracts for new weapons for the Polish troops.

The army will receive light intelligence machines, BMPs and new wheeled armored personnel carriers. According to the Minister of Defense, the country will acquire 700 heavy BMP. They will be built on the base of the KRAB chassis, which is a licensed version of the South Korean Sau K9 Thunder. It will be installed remotely controlled combat module of PGZ development. The Polish army also buys Wolverines in a new modification.

The new license will also allow you to sell cars abroad that did not allow the first license. And the third contract is 400 LPR reconnaissance machines. It is noted that CBWP will have a crew of three fighters. In the landing compartment, the car will transport 8 soldiers. BMPT should support tanks on the battlefield, go with them, not behind. A heavy BMP will have a high level of crew protection, as well as perform tasks in all weather and time of day.
