Armed Forces received three Ukrainian skif drones from volunteers: how they will help the army

For this money, they decided to buy SKIF drones manufactured by the Ukrainian company Culver Aviation, each of them costs about UAH 1. 7 million. As the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov wrote in Telegram, the SKIF will allow the Armed Forces to be reconnaissance on the forefront thanks to a powerful chamber. The devices are well protected from radio electronic struggle, so they will be able to fly into the deep rear of the Russian army up to 130 km.

"In addition, during the transfer of three drones, the army of drones sent an Armed Forces of Ukraine another 8 UAVs, including Skif, Mavic 3 and Matrice 300 RTK," - said the head of the Mincrifra. Skif received a "Flying Wing" and a 61MP camera, which removes with high accuracy (1 cm per pixel) and allows you to consider even the smallest details in the pictures.

The main purpose of the apparatus is the rapid photography of the Earth's surface and the attachment of frames to geographical coordinates with the help of a two -frequency GNSS navigation system. Earlier, they wrote that Culver Aviation engineers have developed drones for military purposes since 2014, but they were not so popular before. They did not leave the development, but transferred them to the commercial channel, leasing to farmers and companies for aerobation or precision cards.
