Unconvincing "Evidence": Analysts doubt that the commander of the Black Fleet Sokolov is alive
This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW) of September 27. "The Russian media continue to publish unconvincing" evidence "that the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Solokov, is alive," the report reads. According to analysts, the Kremlin's press service and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not comment on it and did not directly confirm that Viktor Sokolov did not die.
The authors of the report also noted that they were not ready to confirm the authenticity of the video with Sokolov, recently published by Russian media. We will remind, on September 25 the press service of forces of special operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that as a result of hits in the building of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia in Sevastopol, 34 officers were killed. Among them is the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia - Admiral Viktor Sokolov.
Soon, on September 26, the Russian propaganda edition of TASS reported that Viktor Sokolov allegedly appeared to expel the College of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The media also posted the appropriate video. Later, on September 27, the Russian propaganda TV channel "Zvezda" showed a video on which commander Viktor Sokolov said that the fleet "successfully performs the task".
