In response to Russia's actions: the Czech Republic changes the defensive strategy

Defense Minister Yana Chernokhov noted that this new strategy is involved in the modernization of the country's armed forces. This defensive policy is related to the security strategy that the Czech government ratified in late June.

According to the ratified document, Russia is consciously acting against the political, economic and social stability of the Czech Republic, thereby creating a threat to its security. The priority of the new defense strategy is the restraint of the enemy. The document emphasizes that the conflict in Ukraine emphasized the need for active participation of the Czech Republic in the North Atlantic Alliance.
