In Ukraine, drones with six -barrel guns were created: how they destroy the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
The same caliber is used by hunting rifles, but UAVs are not armed with ordinary ammunition, but with combined structures with a charge and a tube, which is combined with the barrel. "In fact, the cartridge itself becomes part of the gun. All this is integrated into a six -barrel directional system," Alexei explained. When shot, the cartridge flies forward, towards the target, and the cartridge with the barrel is moved - back.
Inertia compensates for this movement compensates for the return, and the drone remains in place. The gun, although loses some of the energy, retains powerful force. During the test, the charge with a shotgun punched a chipboard up to 15 millimeters thick at a distance of 25 meters. The range of lesions when firing bullets is higher. UAVs with 3DTech guns have to knock down small air targets such as DJI Mavic copter or drones on fiber.
According to Alexei Zhulinsky, it is difficult to detect the latter because of the lack of radio signals, but it is easier to shoot because of less maneuverability. In addition to hostile drones, the Armed Forces can destroy the living force of the Russian army. The developer notes that weapons will have a great psychological effect on the occupiers, in particular thanks to different firing modes: isolated, automatic and volley from all six trunks at once.
According to the engineer, such a weapon has a powerful psychological effect - not only because of the fact of shooting, but also due to the ability to fire in different modes: single, automatic or a volley of six shots at a time. "Drones" are already falling under the method of codification, so they can be officially introduced to the register of supply. However, at present, 3DTech can only supply the military to the drone, but not ammunition.
According to Alexei Zhulinsky, the company does not have a license to work with pyrotechnic means and covers legal restrictions when trying to obtain it, although it has knowledge and technical capabilities. She hopes to find partners with appropriate permits to legalize the entire production cycle. Despite the available production problems, the system is already actively testing units that need it. In particular, the request came from the forces of special operations.
There are already similar projects in Ukraine, with some suspensions with compensation, engineers began to work even earlier. According to Alexei Zhulinsky, one of the teams manufactures a two -barrel system that uses other technology. In December 2024, the Armed Forces showed how drones with shotguns beat the enemy UAVs. Earlier, Ukrainian experts installed AK-74 machines on drones to attack the hostile infantry, but did not acquire the tactics wide.
