According to analysts, the Russian UAV "Italmas" is much lighter than Iranian drones, so they are harder to detect and knock down. Probably, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have already used these drones during a recent attack on the Kiev region. Russia uses not only Iranian drones Shahd-136/131 during the attacks of drones on the cities of Ukraine, but also cheaper analogues of its own production. This was stated by analysts of the Institute of War Study (ISW).

The report of October 24 states that Russian sources on October 23 suggested that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during a blow to the Kiev region also used drones of Daulma Action "Italmas". It is reported that these UAVs are much lighter than Iranian drones, they are harder to detect and knock down. They are also cheaper in production, though they carry less explosives. Therefore, their use is separately useful. Analysts have suggested that "Italmas" are used with "Shahmed".

"Russia is probably trying to expand and diversify its arsenal of drones, rockets and controlled bombs to strike the Ukrainian critically important infrastructure on the eve of the autumn/winter season," the report reads. ISW noted that the use of "Italmas" is part of this plan. Recall that the "Geranium heir" was shown in September this year. UAV was created in Izhevsk.

According to the developers, the drone can affect the artillery and equipment of the Armed Forces at a distance of 200 km, which was previously in relative security. Also, the expert of the Analytical Center "United Ukraine" Valentin Gladkiki called the focus of the regions, which the Russian Federation can be fired. According to him, the enemy records a certain shortage of weapons, so he can slightly change the tactics of blows, thereby attacking important military facilities.
