On the evening of January 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck a rocket strike on Kharkiv. The head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synigubov wrote about it in his Telegram-channel. The official reported that the hostile attack damaged civilian infrastructure, including an educational institution.

Later, the official added that the Russian invaders hit Kharkiv C-300 missiles. Information about possible victims has not yet been received. According to "Public", the Russian rocket hit one of the schools of the Ospovyansk district, resulting in part of the two -storey building collapsed. In the neighboring private homes, the windows were beaten. The media reports that a funnel was formed at the site of the impact with a diameter of about ten meters.

The pit was filled with water, in connection with which rescuers made the assumption that the Russian projectile had damaged an underground water supply.
