New Asn4G rocket will change the notion of nuclear restraint: what is known about it

The French hypersonic rocket will replace the available Medium -range missile and will be compatible with Rafale F5 fighters. The claimed range of ASN4G is 1000 km and the speed will reach 8 600 km/h. France develops a hypersonic ASN4G (Air-Sol Nucléaire De 4ème Génération) hypersonic missile, which is to be arrived by 2035.

The rocket will replace the existing ASMPA and become part of the France's nuclear restraint strategy, ensuring reliability in a changing geopolitical environment and new threats. This was reported on December 27 by Army Recognition. ASN4G is being developed by MBDA France together with ONERA, using Promethee technologies. The rocket must be compatible with Rafale F5 fighters, FCAS promising platforms and can be used with aircraft carriers.

Key characteristics are: a new hypersonic rocket is designed to overcome A2/AD counterfeit systems, which are continuously improved in the world's armies. The development is conducted with the use of advanced modeling, in particular Cedre programs and promising quantum technologies. In the end of the analysts, they added that in parallel with this, Arianegroup develops a V-Max hypersonic glider, which complements the goals of ASN4G.
