In Transcarpathia drunk driver BMW rammed a checkpoint: a military (photo) was killed

As reported in the police of the Transcarpathian region, the accident happened at the beginning of five in the morning, July 7. According to preliminary data, a 53-year-old local resident did not cope with the control, left on the oncoming lane and crashed into the concrete barrier of border guards.

"As a result of the accident, a 45-year-old SSSU soldier was sent to the hospital, who later died of injuries," the official message said. The driver female had a sign of alcohol intoxication, but she refused to take the test. Police detained it in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine - is currently under guard in the medical institution, as it has also been injured. Another victim was hospitalized-a 31-year-old man from Ivano-Frankivsk region, who was in the car.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-a violation of traffic regulations in a state of intoxication, which led to the death of a person. The suspect favors up to 10 years in prison and prohibit the control of vehicles up to 10 years. Earlier, Focus reported that on Friday, May 2, a deadly road accident took place on the Poltava-Kremenchuk highway with the participation of a police car and an Opel Ignia car.
