The Armed Forces can get "smart" round -off drones from Putin's enemy: what is known

To spread: Destinus, a startup startup that supplies weapons to Ukraine, plans to buy a Swiss company Daedalean to develop shock drones and hypersonic drones. The 180 million Swiss francs ($ 223 million) are planning to be closed by the end of 2025. Bloomberg writes about it, referring to the official statement of companies. Mikhail Kokorych, founder and DESTINUS CEO, confirmed that his company is involved in financing, but refused to comment on the conditions.

Destinus has cooperated closely with Daedalean in the past, and after buying will use their technologies for both military and civilian purposes. According to Mikhail Kokorych, Daedalean technology, known for its autonomous aircraft navigation systems, will help UAVs fly without the use of satellite navigation systems. This is very important because Russia uses very powerful remedies for radio electronic wrestling to protect against Ukrainian UAVs.

Daedalean, founded in 2016, develops software for machine training and cameras that planes can use to detect obstacles and mapping the terrain without satellites or a global positioning system (GPS). Initially, the company specializes in electrical apparatus with vertical take -off and landing, planning to produce them as a taxi, but the industry still has no significant success. In 2024, Daedalean declared test flights together with the Italian defense company Leonardo SPA.

Destinus, created in 2021, has negotiated with investors on financing, which will allow to estimate its value up to 1. 5 billion euros ($ 1. 7 billion), Bloomberg reported in June. According to sources familiar with the situation, the company's annual profit, taxes and depreciation is about 75 million euros. Daedalean has stated that today has attracted $ 100 million. Among its investors, the Honeywell International International Unit is a venture unit.

According to Mikhail Kokorych, Destinus has attracted more than 200 million euros of investment. Mikhail Kokorych is a former citizen of Russia who refused citizenship in 2024 because of his disagreement with the war in Ukraine, which was started by President Vladimir Putin. Now the Destinus headquarters is located in the Netherlands. In 2024 it became known that Destinus had transferred hundreds of long -range drones to Ukraine since the second quarter of 2023.
