"Civil War": The priest in Transcarpathia called for evasion of mobilization - SBU

The abbot of the Church of the Khust Diocese of the UOC (MP) ignited religious and inter -ethnic hatred in the Transcarpathian region, and also justified the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, told the Security Service. The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Transcarpathia, which spread fakes about the war in Ukraine, called it "civic" and called on to evade mobilization.

This was reported by the SBU press service. "The person called a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation" Civil War "and called on the believer to evade mobilization. In addition, he incited parishioners against representatives of one of the national minorities and parishioners of other religious denominations," the statement said. All this was the rector of the temple when communicating with the locals, as well as on his own Facebook page.

"In this way, the person tried to shake the socio-political situation in the region in favor of the aggressor country. Initiated by the Security Service, the expertise confirmed the facts of his information and subversive activity against Ukraine," the SBU reported. Currently, the clergy has been reported suspected of violating the equality of citizens on a religious and national basis and justification of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
