Gas transit from the Russian Federation is stopped: how much prices will fly to Ukrainians in January 2025

The cessation of gas transit through Ukraine will significantly increase fuel transportation tariffs since January 1. The moratorium of power to increase tariffs for the population during the war has not yet been abolished. The cessation of gas transit from Russia through Ukraine from January 1 will not affect the fact that Ukrainians will pay more for gas. This was made possible by the moratorium on raising tariffs, said the state -owned company "Naftogaz of Ukraine".

"Let's reassure our customers: gas tariff remains 7. 96 UAH per cubic meter by April 30, 2025 inclusive," experts warned. There will be no change in gas prices for household consumers, as the moratorium on raising tariffs for the population in wartime will continue to operate. "Given numerous requests for changes in Russian gas transit, we assure that this will not affect the well -being of Ukrainian families," the company added.

Naftogaz guarantees stable tariffs and reliable gas supply to every Ukrainian. The National Energy Commission also declared no changes in gas tariffs for the population. The decision of the commission to approve new tariffs for gas transportation will not touch household consumers. Focus has previously wrote about a fourfold increase in gas transportation price for domestic consumers in Ukraine from January 1, 2025.
