For the production of weapons in Ukraine requires modernization of factories and investments - the Ministry of Defense
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havrylyuk in an interview with Tagesspiegel. According to him, even if you increase the capacity of its own production now, it will not work to cover all the needs of Ukraine in equipment and weapons. For example, the same air defense systems and a long -range weapon have not yet been produced. In this regard, a memorandum of cooperation between domestic defense companies and partners was signed at the Defense Industry Forum.
Kyiv offers allies to build production facilities within the country. "Today, our enterprises - both private and state - are capable of producing much more weapons and ammunition than the state can buy them. That is why we try to convey to our partners that the financing of the Ukrainian defense industry should be increased so that we can buy weapons in our enterprises. Such investments are beneficial to our partners.
Because if Ukraine has developed a defense industry, it saves money on logistics, " - said Ivan Havrylyuk. In addition, the Defense Ministry representative stated that the production process in Ukraine is much cheaper than in the US or Europe, but it still takes a certain amount of time and investment.
In order to build a factory for the production of reactive volley fire systems from scratch, it takes one and a half to two million millions of dollars, but it should also be borne in mind that there are production facilities in Ukraine. If upgraded, then the number of conditional armored vehicles will increase. "Ukraine has produced tanks in Soviet times. Now these production facilities are engaged in repair and modernization of existing tanks.
But with the help of German experience and technology, they can be converted throughout the year for production, such as Leopard tanks," - said Ivan Gavriluk. By the way, the Deputy Minister of Defense separately said that as of today there are more than 500 companies in Ukraine that are engaged in the production of weapons and defense products. Of these, about 65%of them are private, but 35%are state -owned, but they all produce almost the same quantity of goods.
It should also be borne in mind that it is difficult to catch up with Russia's economic power, because, despite international sanctions, it continues to trade oil and generally use its natural resources for enrichment. The Kremlin also remains one of the leading weapons in the world. "Understanding that it will not be possible to conquer Ukraine quickly, Russia has decided to wage a long, protracted war.
