As it became known, the Frenchman tried twice to enter the territory of the Russian Federation twice through various border crossing points, but in both cases was blocked by border guards. Since then, he has participated in about twenty large competitions, starting with prestigious 4500 kilometers from Canada to Mexico Tour Divide. The record from the fastest crossing of Eurasia on a bicycle is set by German Jonas Deichman in 2017. The athlete drove from Cape Rock in Portugal to Vladivostok in 64 days, two hours and 26 minutes.
