Without Risk for People: The Armed Forces showed smart GCS-200 machines that are already working in the East (video)
With these modern demining platforms, it is faster and safer, minimizing the risks for people. "Machines are able to work autonomously for up to 15 hours, destroying explosive threats and preparing the land for recovery. The operator manages the platform in a safe distance, and the sapper controls the mine process, evaluating the condition of the territory. The joint operation of the sappers and engineers allows to use the equipment effectively in difficult conditions," the fighters say.
The GCS-200 platforms were designed specifically for the Swiss-German military company Global Clerance Solutions. GCS-200 is reminiscent of a harvester on caterpillars. Its front is cultivated and scattered, finding explosive objects there. With these complexes, the demining is carried out in more than 40 countries, including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Georgia, Lebanon, Serbia, Thailand, UAE, the United Kingdom and the United States.
It is managed by one operator with two joysticks and buttons on radio -pultural transmitter. With the help of the GCS-200 mine mine, it is possible not only to clean the territory of explosive objects, but also to carry out light excavation work, transport cargoes, dig the soil and eradicate trees. One such machine is able to clean up to 12,000 m² of land per day. The volume of the 200 l fuel tank provides a standalone from 6. 5 to 15 hours depending on the task and the attachment.
