Ukraine applied sanctions to 56 sea vessels that illegally entered Ukrainian ports temporarily occupied by Russia and exported our food products

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the implementation of the NSDC decision on the application of sanctions against 56 sea vessels that illegally entered the ports of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia and exported Ukrainian food products in 2022-2025. Among them were ships on which thousands of tons of stolen Ukrainian wheat, sunflower seeds and other food products were loaded in the closed ports of Sevastopol and Feodosia temporarily occupied by Russia and exported abroad.

In addition, a significant part of the vessels is already under the sanctions of other countries, in particular the European Union, the USA and Switzerland. The ships used flags not only of the Russian Federation: 17 of them sailed under the flags of other countries. Ukraine will work with the relevant states to stop issuing licenses.
