Russia cannot exist in its current form, and it is not necessary to try to artificially continue the existence of the Putin regime - Mikhail Podolyak

Recent events in Russia show that it can no longer exist in its current form, and the international community should not be afraid of changing the Putin regime. This opinion was expressed by the adviser to the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with the Ukrainian Atlantic Council.

One of the evidence of the internal weakness of the Russian Federation and the regime of Vladimir Putin, he called the rebellion of "Wagnerists", which signals the inevitability of changes in the Russian Federation. "Wagner's uprising" showed that there is nothing behind the Kremlin's propaganda facade. Now everyone was convinced that Putin was an empty shell. The king is naked. It does not control the situation within Russia and is not at all popular.

Simple Russians are still afraid to say that they are against Putin, but as soon as Wagner began to rise, the audience has applauded. At the same time, no one showed interest in protecting the Putin regime, ”Mikhail Podolyak stated. In his opinion, the unfinished uprising caused irreparable damage to Putin among the Russian elite.

For many years, the Kremlin has preached a mantra that Russia's future depends on Vladimir Putin, and after the rebellion of the Wagner PEC, many representatives of the establishment ceased to believe in it. "Now they understand that Putin is not capable of performing key functions that should be in any Russian ruler,"-said the head of the office of the head of state.

“He has lost the powers of the supreme arbitrator in internal disputes, cannot be guaranteed by the international interests of the elite. The most important thing - he showed cowardice. When the rebellion began, it disappeared from view. In the situation of authoritarian political culture of Russia, it is simply not ill. The weak king will not live for a long time, ”he added.

Mikhail Podolyak also noted that Wagner's uprising became a long -awaited confirmation of Vladimir Putin's vulnerability, and expressed his belief that this gives the best idea how the Russian invasion of Ukraine will develop in the coming months. After the failure of the uprising, it became apparent that the Russian president could not consider the loyalty of the Russian army something sustainable.

In addition, the moral spirit of the army of the aggressor country is even more blown up by the Kremlin not punished by any commander of the Wagner PEC for participating in the Putch despite the fact that several Russian servicemen were killed. Although Putin himself at first swore to suppress the rebellion, PEC commander Yevhen Prigogin and other uprising leaders remain at large and were even invited to the Kremlin for a personal meeting with a Russian dictator.

Mikhail Podolyak believes that after such humiliation, other representatives of the Russian establishment will try to "challenge" the power of Vladimir Putin - this is just a matter of time. According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, the successes of Ukraine at the front will become a catalyst for the next crisis in Russia. “As Russia will unfold in Russia, Ukraine will be able to restore full control over the country's internationally recognized borders.

In the end, we will probably witness mass protests in Moscow and the fall of the Putin regime, ”Mikhail Podolyak said. At the same time, he warned Western partners, who may be scared by the potential collapse of the Russian Federation, from attempts to artificially continue the existence of the Putin regime. "Russia will not cease to exist completely, but it must be clear that it cannot exist in its current form," said advisor to the Presidential Office Head.

Mikhail Podolyak states that, although the complete defeat of Russia in Ukraine will lead to a number of security problems, the alternative is much worse. He also emphasized the inadmissibility of any calls for the settlement of war in Ukraine through negotiation and freezing of conflict. According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, attempts to impose premature peace will be regarded in Moscow as an invitation to a new war.

“Any attempt to reach some compromise with Putin will mean the end of Ukrainian statehood. This is clear to us. And Ukrainians will not be the only victims, ”said Mikhail Podolyak. “If Russia is not defeated, Putin's invasion will be justified, and his entire regime will get a new life. The consequences for international security will be catastrophic. Why voluntarily make the world even more unstable? ” He added.

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office noted that the current war will be a turning point for an international audience and will lead to tectonic shifts in the perception of the countries of the former Soviet Union. “Ukrainians now demonstrate their power on the battlefield. We already see how Ukraine's perception changes.
