Ukraine continues to exhaust the opportunities of the Russian Federation in terms of air defense and aviation - ISW

According to analysts, several Russian sources have suggested that the purpose of punches of drones was a deer flyer, located near the village of High, from where the Russian Federation launches strategic bombers Tu-95MS and TU-22M3. On the night of August 20 to 21, the Ukrainian Navy and other units made a coordinated blow using unnecessary weapons and struck the position of the Russian air defense system C-300 near Novosakhtinsk, Rostov region.

It was argued that it was allegedly the first strike of the ATACMS rocket in the Russian territory. But the ISW did not find any visual evidence or additional reports of the intended use of ATACMS.

Russian opposition resources, as well as troops, stated that on August 21, Ukraine had struck drones in the Murmansk region in the Far North of the Russian Federation (almost 2000 km from Ukraine). Geolocation footage, published in Russian social networks, show that the troops of the Russian Federation shot down a small drone that flew at low altitude above the settlement high in the Murmansk region.

Russian sources claim that for the fourth day, percussion drones are aiming at the Murmansk region. On August 21, the Russian Federation temporarily restricted air space over Murmansk and apatite airports, probably because of the work of drones in the airspace.
