"Not the worst nightmare": not only nuclear weapons can destroy the world - scientists have voiced new forecasts

To spread: the likelihood of destruction of humanity has increased by the end of the current century, and not only because of the threat to the use of weapons of mass destruction. Nuclear warheads capable of destroying the planet have become "not even the worst nightmare. " Human societies and empires are doomed to inevitably destruction, as they are fed by "unstable greed. " This opinion was expressed by the scientist of Cambrida University Luke Camp, reports Daily Mail.

The scientist at the University of Oxford Nick Bostrom evaluates the possibility of extinction of humanity by the next century as one to four, while his colleague to you ARD, an expert on threats to artificial intelligence, warns of the likelihood of destruction of humanity for the next 75 years. This can happen because of the "catastrophic and complete collapse of civilization", researchers warn. The Pulitzer Prize winner, writer Jared Diamond, expresses even less optimistic forecast.

He argues that the chances of our appearance for survival after 2050 - only 25 years - do not exceed 50 to 50. The aforementioned representative of the Cambrida University Luke Camp in his book claims that nuclear weapons are far from the worst nightmare that hangs over humanity.

Although this threat, which hangs over the planet since the 1950s, has not gone anywhere, new dangers have emerged, the deaths seem more realistic than ever: KAMP Luke states that without satellites, computers and the Internet, a banking system, health service, telephone network and many vehicles. This can turn the cities into a "slaughterhouse" because the panic that has swept cities after the 2020 pandemic leaves no hope that there will be no global chaos.
