"War looks frozen": Slovakia told why weapons do not hand over to Ukraine

According to the Foreign Minister of Slovakia Yurai Blanar, his country wants to help the Ukrainian people survive a new winter. The government will send humanitarian aid that will be focused on it. The new government of Slovakia will not send weapons to Ukraine, but will comply with contracts for the supply of military assistance at the level of private firms. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country Yura Blanar, writes TASR.

"I clearly identified the position that the Slovak Republic will no longer provide military assistance at the government level. However, all commercial issues related to weapons contracts are a matter of individual companies," the minister said. According to him, Slovakia wants a ceasefire in Ukraine to become a developed and integrated state. Moreover, the blanar expressed support for the desire of Ukrainians to become part of the European Union.

"First of all, we want some initiatives related to the cessation of fire and the search for a peaceful resolution of this conflict as soon as possible. Because the current war looks frozen and does not lead to any result," Blanar said. The diplomat said that Slovakia wants to help the Ukrainian people survive a new winter. The government of the country will send humanitarian aid that will be focused on this.

The blanar said that his Slovakia funds the production of two installations for the Ukrainian side to mine Bozena IV. They should start work in the Kherson region at the beginning of 2024.
