According to analysts, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation changed the style of its daily reports, reducing the amount of information provided about the situation at the front. At the same time, the department is trying to censors the complaints of the military who are on the front line.
According to the authors of the publication, the latest report of the Russian defense department is different from other reports in that it is composed of previous messages and it does not contain new information. Analysts also indicated that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation consistently tried to introduce information policy that would provide restricted information about the front lines throughout the war.
"Changes in the reports of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, if this trend persists, can reflect its wider efforts from the censorship of Russian reports about the war and the unification of its own version," the analysts summed up. We will remind, on August 17 in ISW reported that in the Russian Federation the authorities intend to impose penalties for the distribution of photos and videos that contain information about the location of troops.
